The Freak Out!

So, today, Ryan left for work.  He usually arrives at 9:00, he logs onto Yahoo Messenger, so I say Hi or something along those lines.  Today he did not log in, no big deal.  So a couple of hours go by and still, no log in.  I call his phone and no answer.  So, I thought, oh well,  he must be busy.  Then all of a sudden I get a rush of worry.  Is he dead, is he missing.....and so on.  I start watching the news to see if there are any accidents reported.  I get online to look up news to make sure there haven't been any accidents reported.  I call his phone about 8 times and text him twice...no reply.  At this point I realize the only way I will be able to calm down is if I drive to his work and see if his car is there.  So, I'm on my way to the office, when I call one more time.  He answers...it's a miracle....he was in a meeting....and I cry.  So...Ryan lives another day.  Thank goodness.  Who else would take care of his crazy wife.

That is hilarious, Rachael! I'm the same way, though. When I was a teen, I used to sit at our front window and watch for my little brother and sister to get home from school. If they weren't home when I thought they should be, I started panicking.

I hate that. I probably would have felt and done the same thing. Don't feel bad. Really it's his fault for not telling you he had a meeting....so don't blame yourself! LOL

Rachel I love how you wrote this scary/funny moment. I think I have freaked out a few times, only when Paul goes out of town. Now that you have kids or a kid. Its kind of a big deal that their dad stays alive.

Hey Rachel,

It took me forever to figure out how to contact you to say “hi”. Your family looks great and you seem to be doing so well. I don’t remember all the things I did back in Brunswick but I’m trying to tell anyone I knew “Sorry that I was a jerk”. I hope I wasn’t to you but chances are I was. Let us know if you ever come through Atlanta or Macon.
