The Chronicles of Narnia

We saw the new Chronicles of Narnia film tonight. It was excellent. Ryan and I really enjoyed it. We put Gracie to bed and saw a late showing. Don't worry, we didn't just leave her alone. We had Grandpa keep an ear out and check on her periodically. The theater was packed. You know when you go to the movies and someone sits right next to you? Don't you hate that? I mean, in this situation it was acceptable because there aren't any other seats. But when it isn't a full movie, doesn't that really tick you off? Am I right? Anyway, it's a good movie is the point I was trying to make. C.S. Lewis writes Christian allegories, and you get to take so much from the books and films that are lying underneath the plot. I enjoy it thoroughly. I have never read the books, but aren't movies just like the books? Oh, yeah they aren't. That's why I failed the Scarlet Letter book report.

I've always liked C.S. Lewis. Always good to get away from the little ones from time to time, glad yall could do that. We've got to go to the movies again some time. It's just easier to rent them these days. But I miss the pop corn.

I only saw the first one once, so I'd better do a refresher showing so that I will be prepared for the second one.
Please don't send Johnny Cochran after me! He always gets his man, and I just won't make it in the big house! I'm too pretty to be a prisoner. I'll have to smuggle myself out in a laundry basket, then the dogs will chase me through swamps and forests! If the alligators don't get me (and believe me, they will- they've had their eye on me for 18 years) I'll be shot down as I make my final stand. Blaze of Glory by Bon Jovi will be playing in the background.

We really want to see that movie, so its good to have a good review from someone. And I definitely agree with you on the people sitting next to you in the theater thing!

I must be pretty dense because I was not seeing any relations to Christianity in the other movie. I'm pretty slow, though.
